Registration for Sherlock Holmes Goes to Hollywood

The Open Road Theatre in collaboration with The Hamilton-Wenham Community House has begun Registration Signup for our Spring 2012 show.

There are many zany Hollywood character roles for all ages in this full-length Mystery-Comedy. No cuts. Everyone who registers and auditions receives a wonderful role. No previous experience necessary. Everyone is welcome.

ORT is a non-profit children’s theatre company serving children and families on the North Shore of Boston.

Audition date: Tuesday, January 24,
Time: 3:00—5:30pm
At: Hamilton-Wenham Library, 14 Union Street, Hamilton, 01982

Rehearsals begin: February 6th.
At: Hamilton and Beverly Main Libraries after school until 5:30pm

Three Performances: April 6 and April 7th.
At: The Hamilton-Wenham Community House, 284 Bay Road, 01982

The Open Road Theatre in conjunction with The Community House of Hamilton and Wenham is excited to announce there will be a main stage production of Sherlock Holmes Goes to Hollywood!

The production will be performed April 6 and 7th 2012 at the Community House Rt 1a Hamilton. Registration will begin December 6th and more details will follow.

The Open Road Theatre joins CBACT

The Open Road Theatre is thrilled to announce that we have joined the Consortium of Boston Area Children’s Theatres! CBACT is an organization that was established by Steve Smith of the Arlington Children’s Theater and Chris Lowey of the UnCommon Theatre in Mansfield as a collaborative group of children’s theatres that share both information and resources.

This is an exciting move for ORT as it will allow us to connect and collaborate with many other Massachusetts based theatre organizations that share our same goals and value theatre and arts education as much as we do. Among the many great things that come with joining CBACT is our participation in the Fourth Annual CBACT Children’s Festival. The festival is a day of workshops and shows suitable for family fun, and this year it will take place on the campus of Nazarene College in Quincy on Saturday, July 9^th. Mark your calendars now for a fun filled day of theatre!
